While traveling the world in search of the ideal place to produce a uniquely expressive world-class wine, we discovered the valleys of Northern Baja California. We fell in love with the unique terroir, beautiful landscapes, and optimal growing conditions. Our next challenge was to discover the ideal grape varietal in this amazing region. After sampling countless blends, as well as single varietal wines, we were convinced that Syrah would be the grape of choice for our project. We began visiting vineyard sites to source the absolute best Syrah in the area. After an exhaustive search, we chose Rancho MD, as they had the oldest and finest Syrah vines in the region. Located at 600 feet of elevation just 15 miles from the Pacific Ocean, this site takes advantage of warm days and cool nights, with a protective cloud layer over the vineyard almost every morning. We then chose a French Seguin Moreau Icone Elegance barrel with a Medium Long toast. Finally, we had to name of the wine. After tasting the rich dark fruit and chocolate notes, we knew that this wine was special. We knew it was tenacious! So with that, we launched our first varietal, Tenacity. We hope that you enjoy our wine as much as we have enjoyed the process of making it for you!

About Aaron & Tricia Schneider
After visiting the wine valleys of Baja California back in 2016, Aaron and Tricia Schneider instantly knew they wanted to plant their wine making roots in this region.
Aaron’s corporate career began with E&J Gallo Winery over 25 years ago. During his tenure in the wine industry, he taught Fine Wine and became a member of the Society of Wine Educators, of which he is still a member. Both Aaron and Tricia are also members of the Chaine des Rotisseurs and International Wine and Food Society, which allows them to share their passion of food and wine. Aaron serves on the board for the New Orleans Chaine and is also a member of the Commanderie de Bordeaux, and Confrérie du Sabre d’Or.
Several years ago, Aaron and Tricia decided one day soon they wanted to end their executive careers in corporate America to fulfill their dream of owning a winery. They traveled to several different wine regions looking for the perfect place that matched what they were trying to achieve — a boutique winery that was unique, distinct, and extraordinary.
It was by chance that they even went to the Baja California wine region after Tricia’s friend from college invited them down for a visit. On that trip, she convinced them to spend some time tasting Mexican wine. They immediately fell in love with the unique Mediterranean climate with the gentle influences of the Pacific Ocean along with the distinct Mexican cultural. They felt they could create an extraordinary product using French methods.
The region and choice of single barrel Syrah bottling was tenacious, very much like Tricia and Aaron and their style. That is why they decided Tenacity was perfect for their first label.
When they are not at their home in Baja California, they can usually be found traveling to other wine regions and meeting with top producers to improve their wine making skills.
